At the supermarket/ department store

Post by greatwater »

I often use a large supermarket/ department store as a place for relief, both number one and number two, and often encounter desperation there.

Let me tell you about two incidents.

At a large department store in Asia, I was doing my business in a cubicle when I heard men speaking in German walking inside. Then I heard a long loud gush of urine hitting the urinal. I believe there was more than one man inside the Gents, but I could hear only one loud streams closest to my cubicle. I don't know what he said, but he seemed desperate.

Today, again, I was in a cubicle, when I heard a man coming in. I'm quite sure about this case. He sigh quite loud as he's unbuckling and unzipping. Then, another sign came out of his mouth as a loud gush hit the toilet. I have to explain that the sound of urine I heard today is different from other sounds of urination I have ever heard. It sound like a very heavy shower. I'm sure I heard more than one streams. It was noisy. It wasn't longer than one minute, but I'm sure that was a large amount of urine coming out of that man's body. After the noisy urination ends, he sighed very loud. I'm very sure that this man was desperate, to say the least.

I can't help imagining what brought these desperate men to the toilet at a supermarket. In my case, it's on my way home and I can't hold it until home. What about other situations? Are these men helping their wives/husbands carrying all the shopping stuffs and holding it in until they finish shopping?

Have you encountered male desperation at a mall/ supermarket/ department store?
"What a relief! I thought I was gonna wet myself at the interview!"
"Damn the traffic! Been holding for about three hours!"
"Here we go! Ahhhhhhh Amazing piss!"

A guy I know used to work in a supermarket and he told me that one of his occasional tasks with customers is to escort them to the staff toilet if they have to go. He doesn't know that interests me, by the way: he was only talking about his work generally. It must be pretty embarrassing to have to ask staff if you can use their toilet when you're out shopping.

Slightly related is another story I heard, this time by someone, X, who I had just told about my interest. It involves a friend of his who is a young adult guy called Peter. X was at home with his partner when their doorbell rang. He picked up the intercom and heard his friend's voice. "It's Peter. Can I come in? Can you hurry because I'm absolutely desperate to pee!" He and his partner hurried to the door and let Peter in, but it was too late, and Peter was peeing in his jeans as he rushed past them to their toilet. He left a trail on their floor. The reason why this is related is that it turned out that Peter had been out at the shops, had got caught short while shopping, and had made a beeline for X's house as the nearest place where he might be able to pee.

My own first accident as an adult (I was 19 years old) resulted from getting caught short at the shops. I ran all the way home and wet myself while trying to get the front door open.

So yes, I think male desperation at supermarkets and the like happens often!

In my area, being at the supermarket around 7:00PM on a weekday evening has provided several "sightings" over the years. Men get home from work and have two or three beers, then go out with the wife/girlfriend to shop. I've seen them hustle to the store rest room and heard their gushes, and I've seen young guys impatient at the checkout or when loading the car with their purchases - in a hurry because their bladders are full of beer, and beer doesn't like to wait! Once I noted an impatient fellow outside the drug store with two small kids, all but dancing as he waited for his wife/girlfriend to make her purchases. Yes, a young guy after two or three beers can be fun to watch!

At where I am, supermarkets are often colocated together with other shops such as restaurants, department stores, and cinemas in a large shopping mall. Our city planners tend to place such shopping malls at transportation nodes, such that a bus station and the shopping mall are in the same building, right next to a metro station. Some of the malls are even built right on top of underground metro stations such that the main exit of the station is into the shopping mall.

My country is small enough that the majority of the places within the country are reachable within two hours by public transport. Furthermore, because public toilets are plenty, I hardly ever see extremely desperate people. However, very occasionally I get to see people exiting the metro station and making a beeline to the toilets in the mall, resulting in a gushing relief. Usually I have no story to tell apart from that. I might hazard a guess that the person might have overloaded with fizzy drinks, waited for a bus for fifteen minutes at a remote bus stop with no toilets nearby, arrived twenty minutes later at a metro station only to find its toilets closed for cleaning, and then endured a train ride over an hour long, because exiting the fare gates and reentering at the same station counts as a new fare.

One of the sightings that I remember is a young tall male of about 20. He exited a restaurant together with a group of other people, suddenly bent down and appear to grabbed his privates for a split second. Then he frantically looked around and asked for the location of the toilets. It is somewhat rare and contrary to present expectations, but as this is a older mall, male and female toilets are located on alternate floors rather than on every single floor. After being told that the gents are downstairs, he was seen traveling down the escalator, blocked by people who were standing on both sides of the escalator, head constantly turning around looking at all directions, with one hand in his jeans pocket which I assume is there for making emergency pinches. Unfortunately, I was unable to follow him into the toilet as I was with someone else. I can imagine that he didn't drain his bladder before entering the restaurant, and he didn't want to excuse himself from the table because he was anticipating that the dinner was coming to an end really soon, just that his group kept talking and delaying the end of the dinner.

A very possible explanation, and another example of a young man failing to plan ahead. Possibly his bladder was pretty full when he arrived at the restaurant but he chose to hold it until the meal was over - which might have been longer than anticipated.

Love seeing a young guy grabbing himself! And the hand in the pocket to pinch is a classic move - an oldie but a goodie lol
