Notice for Users

Post by Tytn »

Welcome back to the forum.

It has been a while since we've been around because of Forumup's problems. Whilst normally most hosters don't allow porn I have spoken at length with the support department and have assured them that we are on the mild/innocent side of the pornography rules. And we shall stay there.

If any of the site staff (Brian, myself and Fred) feel that what is posted crosses that line then it will be removed and dealt with on a case by case basis. I don't think there will be though.

Things are still being setup and so some parts may behave oddly or unexpectedly or oddly.

THe 'home' link at the top of the screen is one of them. For some reason it takes you back to the very start of the forum and logs you out. It is only a click to log you back in but I suspect there is a technical issue.

The canonical name issue needs to be sorted but I'm sure it will be sorted soon enough. When I can get my tech to free himself from his work, hobbies and other distractions. But you could probably say that for most.

In time old stories shall be reposted back up, old links and previous material. It will happen, but things take time.

When Forumup comes back up I shall endeavour to get the backup completed but that may have to be done by hand. I shall also try and contact all of the previous registered users to tell them about this place.

Good luck everyone ;)

Thanks for all you have done to set up this site, Tytn.

Two quick questions from me.

Firstly, is it worth reposting some old stories that I have posted previously? I don't want to clog up the board if at some stage, the old ones will be transferred.

Secondly, on the old board there was an open section for stories and a private section. I posted a few of mine in the private section because of their content. Not that it was extreme in any way, as you will know, but it seemed safer. Do you think that means those stories would not be appropriate now?

By all means post old stories, but consider which categories you want them to be in. The 'private' section is now the 'closed' section, but I think you'd grasp that. I'm not sure what you can see, but in time I shall elevate the status of those I recognise. It could be a manual process at the moment too because I'm still new at this level of tech.

Some will have differences on their usernames, and those are tweakable. If you require them tweaking, let me know ;)
