Joe Hart nearly wet himself!

Post by Lee »

Former England goalkeeper Joe Hart has had an interesting start to his new career in the media and made a schoolboy error before co-commentating on his first Champions League game.

"There’s lots going on and lots to get your head around, especially with me being new. I learned a lesson in the last game that I drank too much and I needed the toilet… it was a painful last 20 minutes! There was absolutely nowhere for me to go and I had to have my legs crossed!"

There are lots of news stories you can search, but he told the story on a video clip. I can't find d a way of posting the link here, but it's on TNT Sports tiktok account, about a week ago. Or just search Joe Hart Champions League on tiktok.

Wouldn’t you just want to be able to sit right next to him in such a situation? I certainly wouldn’t be able to concentrate on the game if I saw him stuck there in a very desperate situation. :D
Maybe his co-commentator felt the same way? (If he had one).

I loved his comment about there being nowhere to go nor "anywhere to do it"!!

Does that mean he was so desperate he'd have considered doing it a receptacle of some sort? That would have been interesting for his co-commentator!! 😂

If the game had lasted another 20 minutes I imagine he'd have to consider his pants as the only option open to him!!

He must have been considering all sorts of things during that last painful 20 minutes. Each thought immediately answered by his rational side telling him: no, I can't possibly do that, I'm commentating live on air, I've just got to sit here and hang on, I just hope I'm going to make it!

Those unwise drinks beforehand... I bet they are a hangover from his sporting days when he was used to hydrating before starting work on the football field - I guess even as goalkeeper you're still moving about all the time and sweating it out. He's indeed had to learn, almost a very hard and embarrassing way from the sound of it, that it's now a different line of work which requires different preparation.

When you're active and sweating it out, holding the excess can be easy enough, but that can make you overconfident and imprudent with your liquid intake.

Could someone find the video where he is desperate?

As a celtic fan and ex player is Joe Hart this has excited me.

This was posted pre Celtics home match vs Bayern Munich.

He mentions it was the last match the incident occurred.

Hart only comentates on celtics champions league matches not their domestic league the last home champions league match was against young boys before this interview.

He mentions it was a tough last 20 minutes. Celtic actually score with around 5 minutes to play.

Here is the highlights video of the game if anyone can maybe hear in his voice or anything that the man is in desperate need at all.
