Cruise Ships

On a website that reviews cruising, there was a brief discussion about a video clip (not much to see) (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uaZppTmv6pA - skip to 13:20) of a gent peeing in a cruise ship stairway. The comments roundly condemned his behavior, many calling for banning him from that cruise line forever. One more sensible person suggested billing him for the cleanup. Those of us who are familiar with urgency and desperation might be on the side of the sensible person.

Yes, he probably had too much to drink (very common on cruises), and alcohol impairs judgment. Yes, he held his bladder too long, and despite there being toilets convenient to every bar and restaurant, he probably thought he could hold it until he got back to his cabin. He was wearing shorts, which wouldn't have absorbed much, and he might have left a trail of pee all the way to his cabin. At least the puddle was in one spot.

Has anyone here had a similar lapse in judgment resulting in peeing in an inappropriate place?

Lol yes! A long time ago, locked myself out of my hotel room, when half asleep trying to find the bathroom! Was so desperate had to pee in a plant pot before I could take care of getting back into the room!!
