Bladder size measuring

Post by Wombat48 »

As well as desperation and holding, i am really interested ij bladder capacity....it would be interesting to get the range of different bladder sizes on the forum! In terms of measuring it needs to be when you are at your most desperate.
I will start- 1600mls is the most i have ever measured which i know is way above average 😀

I would say mine is around 1100 mls. Only reason I know is because I got stuck in traffic once, had to pee in a standard 500 ml plastic water bottle, had to stop the flow, dump out the pee and fill it up again, dumped it out again, and finished a little bit more, all while keeping one hand on the steering wheel :)

In my younger days I know I held a full liter at least once, but now my capacity is far less.

Indeed. I'm now in my 50s and whilst when I was younger I could hold a lot more, these days I can't. 750ml is painful enough to take over most thoughts and encourage me to stop on the hard shoulder (UK based) but there are still restrictions so another route is to pull off the motorway or dual carriageway onto a smaller road or something and stop in a bus stop/layby. If there is no one there and there is room then it's the hedge for me, otherwise I usually have a large McD coffee cup I can use, then empty out of the window etc.

In the days of the fold up seats in the passenger area of the truck I could kneel down so I didn't have to get out, but they've upgraded the fleet and the newer trucks have fixed but air seats for the passengers so that's now out.

I do find that I can manage for about 2 hours of needing to go without stopping but stage plan the timings so I go before I get myself in a position where I'm in a city and can't find anywhere, but that assumes I'm paying attention.
