UK Television Series Heartbeat

Post by Lee »

I realise that this will only be applicable to UK residents, but does anyone remember the long-running police series Heartbeat? It was quaint Sunday evening viewing about a little Yorkshire village and the local police station.

A few months ago, whilst visiting Yorkshire, I actually went to see the setting of it. All the buildings in the show are still there and the only thing missing was the cast!!

Anyway, it got me thinking and I wondered whether any 'toilet-related' incidents were ever mentioned? I suspect probably not, so I've written one! 😁

Accepting it's very much British 1960's based for which I apologise, I'll put it up this weekend sometime. Anyone who wants to see what the characters look like can Google them or look on YouTube.

Sorry to disappoint but he's not in the story. I don't really remember the early years when Nick Berry was the main officer, so this revolves around the later years. But I'll post it now.

For reasons that don’t matter, that Heartbeat story I wrote will probably be my last contribution here for a while, maybe for the foreseeable future. I may pop back sometime if something of genuine interest crops up. I do hope the site prospers and goes from strength to strength.

It will be sad to see you go Lee, And you are always welcome back at any time.

It is understandable in this day and age that people have phases of interests, and some slip outside of favour and choice, or others need more of your time.

Good luck for the future and thank you for all of your wonderful contributions.

As the oldest old-timer here I've been hanging on longer than I thought, and I know that as circumstances change we have to let go of some things. You've been an outstanding contributor here for many, many (many) years, and as new members peruse the archives they will continue to enjoy your writing for years to come. I hope you will at least lurk when you can, and perhaps you'll still have opportunities to add a comment or story.

My very best wishes to you, my friend.
