Hmm, I find it impossible to believe that either the guy in blue shorts in the clip that drnk2mch posted or the guy in the Daily Mail story deliberately let this happen to them.Those challenges are apparently very scary to do (in the second one the guy has to jump backwards from a great height into water, for example), so you aren't going to make things even more difficult by deliberately going in with a bursting bladder which wouldn't be visible to the public who you are trying to impress anyway - except that in those two cases it did turn out visible to the public, and in the most humiliating way!
I'd put both incidents down to "fear-wetting". Both guys probably wished they hadn't drunk so much fluids while they were waiting in the run-up to the challenge, but if they hadn't been terrified they would have been able to hold it in. That's my guess.
Could be fear, my assumption though is that they've tried to stay hydrated for all of the challenges and they've not realised how long they would have to endure before having a break. Under the circumstances they probably can't excuse themselves otherwise they'll interrupt the challenge and the filming (and possibly risk being disqualified) and/or they're probably too shy or vain to say anything so they've tried to hold it but simply can't. Certainly been in a similar situation myself before ha.

Apparently he likes to hold it.
And it looks like a one-piece too - in order to pee, he needs to take off his gloves and his sweater, presumably to access the zipper.

I would agree that he seems to be enjoying holding it, and he's making no effort to unzip.

I think Sam's actions suggest that he's holding back a definite need to pee but is possibly not completely conscious of it yet.
