I'll put a positive spin on this. The groom knows that it turns his wife on when he's desperate to pee, and he wants to make their wedding night special.

At weddings, there's often a lot of drinking going on, sometimes before and very often after, and we've read some stories about the groom or best man barely making it through the ceremony. And there's bound to be some desperation during or after the reception.

Perhaps he did actually have to run several blocks further, though? The camera follows him to the entrance to the toilets where there is a temporary yellow obstacle on the floor. He appears to be ignoring it and attempting to trot past it, but if it said something like "closed for cleaning" he might have had to do an about-turn!

Think he mentioned something about consuming too much carbonated water. Also, I think he also asked for the location of the toilets at the station, for which the response was "the opposite side", hence the crossing of the bridge to the opposite platform.
