London's Transportation Soiled Thousands of Times

Post by Sam69 »

Found this on the Internet just now. The next line is suppose to be the link address. If it isn't, I will go back and get it again and paste it on this thread.

TfL system 'soiled thousands of times'

The total given is for all transit in London if I understand this correctly. Vomit, urine, blood and faecal matter - a total of 14,632 times in 2018!

How many of the 14,632 were urine related :?:
Were male and were ages 18-25 :?: 8-)
How many of the lads wet their pants :?: :D Who knew :?:

This must happen more often than at least some of us were aware. :o

Copied from web page:
"London's transport system was strewn with vomit, urine, blood and faecal matter thousands of times last year,

Transport for London (TfL) buses were reported as "soiled" a total of 14,632 times in 2018, with some affected more than twice per week.

Tube trains were delayed due to "soiled cars" on 801 separate occasions."

End of paste from web page.

This gets the mind to really thinking? Perhaps we need more stories from the London Public Transportation :!:

Perhaps Lee can go undercover full time and report back to us.

Have you read “Police Escort Officer PC Tate”?

That was loosely based on a true story.

Just speculating, I'd say that urine and vomit would comprise the major sources of "soiling", that a major cause would be alcohol, and that males 18-25 would be the largest statistical group involved. Considering the millions of people confined in trains and buses for periods of time with no toilet readily available, soiling is inevitable.

I am convinced that numbers are high and it's difficult to be more precise. Anyone who loses it and has a full on embarrassing pants wetting experience is likely to be observed by a good many other people, but who keeps sighting statistics unless it's possibly something they may have done themselves. Someone who sits quietly, places an Evening Standard on their lap and gets on with peeing in bursts and trickles may be seen by very few people - if they are standing and hanging on with piss running down their legs they will not go un-noticed.

The same went for the crowded overground Southern Region trains, the old green electrics than ran the local services such as Mid Kent Line to Hayes and many others - no toilets and no corridors sometimes simply compartments with six seated passengers on either side staring at each other. I lost it twice on these services but was able to be discreet and would not be seen until I got off and other passengers would see the big wet stain on the arse of my trousers and unfortunately the wet seat. I was never proud of that.

It was much the same on buses in London and has been everywhere else I have lived.I have never experienced seeing anyone messing their pants but I'm quite certain many must.

I have yet to see a girl pee her knickers on a train but I bet they do.

They probably base the numbers on cleanup reports not sightings, though they may be extrapolated from small samplings. The London transportation system includes thousands of trains, buses and trams and stations, with millions of patrons daily, so human waste can total up quickly.

Fred, that is the way I read it. That these were the number of train cars, buses, etc. that had to be cleaned up. On Fred's favorite bus route, there were 14 lads ages 18-25 that lost their valiant attempt to keep urine in their bladders, not release into their pants. To say that Fred enjoyed the scene is an understatement!

Just kidding Fred. It appears we have the same interests. If bus XYZ had three lads p*ss their pants one evening, that would count as one cleaning.

What is also missing is the discussion of having toilets on new buses and train cars. Would there be more or less amount of cleanup to do? There would be less seats and floors below the seats where people lost bodily fluids. The question is how much cleaning would be required in the public toilets on the buses and on train cars? With as many people using public transit, it wouldn't take long at all for toilets to go from pristine to there being a river of p*ss on the floor! :!:

One thing for sure. We can fantasize that on any given day one or more lads will have wet their pants either on a bus, the tube or on a train. On days where there is a major sports event, we could take bets on how many lads disgraced themselves in front of their friends or families!

I bet the conversation among the cleaning crews would be interesting to hear! Then again, maybe not!

I have seen one or two guys clearly desperate to pee on the London Underground on the rare occasions I've visited London. But I've only once seen a guy who's wet his pants on public transport, and that was about 20 years ago in The Hague when I worked there. After finishing work I was walking towards the station to go home when I passed a guy about 20 years old walking the other way along the street. The first thing I noticed was that he looked rather upset. Then I saw that his jeans were soaked around the groin and down both legs. I am pretty sure he had been in a tram because he was walking away from a tram stop.

As a bus driver, we used to get that a lot. Code Foxtrox was the response on the radio. Foul/Fouled Bus.

That included someone dropping their trousers to take a crap in the hallway, people being sick over seats or on the floor. Open urination, dumping of food or drinks in the passageways or seats. Used nappies being left open in the bins and inappropriate temperatures in the vehicle for the time of year.

For example. In winter we had to plan to be wearing thermals all day and the coats on because the cab heaters didn't work and the air recirculation for demisting the windscreen came from upstairs and usually had significant amounts of weed smell mixed in.

I was working on local bus services as part of the National Express Group. They operate long-distance coaches as well as city service buses and inter-airport link services.

I understand how a full wetting would leave a puddle on the seat and/or on the floor. Sometimes, people's muscles weaken a little and there is leakage; sometimes enough that it is clear that the person has wet his pants or spilled a drink. Yet, there may not be any urine drops on the seat and few on the floor that is recorded by the cleaning crew as a wetting statistic.

With as many people on and off the public transit system, I wonder how many wettings happen that aren't included in the official statistics as cleaning crews did not see enough evidence to record it as a toilet accident.

Perhaps if I ever can cross the pond to visit London, instead of going to see the palaces, the cathedrals, and museums, I can get an itinerary for the sports events and ride public transit in search for lads 18-25 who are clearly desperate or as the case may be, were clearly desperate earlier and are now wearing pissed pants.

Perhaps, while on this trip, I can arrange interviews with the lads who are in the last stages of desperation or who have wet their pants!

I could get Fred to go to London with me, one of us could take pictures and video to share with everyone here while the other one handled the interview. There could be daily reports. I can just hear the questions. At what point did you realize that you were going to piss your pants? How long much longer were you able to hold it before the dam broke? I can see that it went down both legs. Your friend over here had it go down only one leg. Can you two explain why this is so? Would you pose for us in your pissed pants? Please turn around so Fred can get a picture showing how wet your butts are. Were you seated or standing when you first started pissing your pants? Is this the first time this has happened? Have any of your mates pissed their pants as well because they couldn't find a toilet in time?

Then again, Fred and I might be signing in here to ask for donations to get us out of jail! These lads 18-25 wearing pissed pants just might not want to be interviewed by Fred and me. Imagine that!
