Amusing comments by the passenger Mrs Francis!

Fascinating article. I guess one important factor is that the young guy tried to do what he did - pee in the bottle in the cabin crew's private area - surreptitiously, without telling any of the crew beforehand that he couldn't wait and really had to pee. That, I guess, is why he got some on the floor and on the crew member's jacket - he was panicking and trying to hurry up and do it before someone saw him.

It's a bit unclear to me whether one of the toilets was in use or not at the time he did what he did. The article mentions that the crew got one of the toilets unblocked and announced that passengers could be escorted to it. Perhaps he hadn't heard this, or maybe he was just so desperate by then that it was too late to ask to be escorted there? Any other ideas?

That's probably a pretty accurate assessment Brian.

What also intrigues me is the comment by the other passenger Sue Francis who says that "the young lad was absolutely desperate". Presumably that means he must have been blatantly displaying his desperation to all the other passengers either by his actions or his words.

I love it when she also says that the cabin crew member "wanted him to do it in his pants".

Oh yes, the scenes before his ultimate resourcefulness with the bottle are definitely fueling my imagination! For his desperation to be obvious to that other passenger, it must have been quite a spectacle.

That situation reminds me of this story from not too long ago:

That's a great story, and thanks for the link. I hadn't read that one before. Because it contains a passage which is unsuitable for our General and Open section, I've made a topic in Stronger Interests and altered your link to our internal one. Hope you don't mind, neodreamwaters.
