Found an article in an Swiss Newspaper about "disaster dates", with one of the dates ending with a man wetting himself in front of his date.

Nando* (26) had a really nice date with his online acquaintance. Until a certain need put a spanner in the works.

After a few pleasant hours in the city, Nando realised that he slowly had to go to the toilet.

It happened just outside his front door: Nando peed on himself in front of his date.

The woman later broke off contact with him.

I met the woman online and we got on really well straight away! So well that we arranged to meet after just a few days. We met on a beautiful summer's day by the Rhine and spent two very pleasant hours there.

Afterwards, I showed her around the city. And while we were walking through the streets of Basel for hours, I suddenly felt a slight pressure on my bladder. But I didn't worry about it and told my date that I should go back to my place to go to the toilet. Easypeasy.

The pressure was increasing

So we set off on the way back, it was about two kilometres to me. Some of you reading this may be familiar with the feeling: the closer you get to the bowl that will save you, the greater the pressure on your bladder - and that's exactly how it was for me. By now I was even finding it a bit difficult to walk, I really needed to go to the loo.

And then it happened, 200 metres from my front door: my body, my bladder, failed and gave in to the pressure. I came to a halt with soaked trousers. She stared at me. I stared at her. We were both speechless, it was awful. The date had really gone down the pan and she broke off contact with me.

I guess when you're having a really great time with your new date, a problem like needing to pee might not receive the priority attention it deserves. Perhaps that's what happened with your friend too, @Def123? At least that didn't end so drastically.

Poor Nando. I certainly wouldn't have broken off contact with him over a little thing like wetting his pants.

Poor Nando! I definitely wouldn’t have broken contact with him- hope he finds somebody else and it all becomes just an unfortunate but humerus story.

When you're on a date with someone you'd like to impress, expressing a need to wee is something some men would like to avoid, especially if your date doesn't seem to need to go. I've read other accounts of men who were bursting to pee and held it - or tried to - until the end, sometimes successfully, and sometimes not.

Very similar, it was a first date (various bars etc) but then he got lucky and ended up back at her house. The details aren’t ‘General Friendly’ sadly. He didn’t end up peeing in front of her, but he did have to pee somewhere he shouldn’t have
