25 hour Fillibuster

Senator Cory Booker performed a 25 hour speech in the Senate without taking a "bathroom break". In one of the reports he explained how he fasted and dehydrated himself to do it. He said that his doctor would not approve, but that he's been an athlete and is in good shape. He must have been pretty confident that he could hold his bladder that long, suggesting to me that he's experienced in holding his pee. And I'd guess that he's proud of it.

You don't have to be into omorashi to be (at least secretly) proud of your ability to hold your pee, and even in real life I've heard guys brag that they drank a lot of beer at a party and didn't pee until they went home.

I've found guys with the level of bladder confidence you describe can also be prone to careless misjudgment. I had a coworker years back who had a small accident and got written up for stopping his shift early after mistakenly downing a few cups of caffeinated coffee instead of his usual decaf.

In a similar situation, I read a post from a fellow who had a couple of beers with friends in his workplace parking lot during lunch break, and he nearly wet himself during the last hours of his shift.

That's quite some achievement. A couple of years ago I asked the well hung New York actor, Jonah Falcon, on Cameo what the longest was he'd gone without weeing. I fully expected an answer somewhere between 12 and 16 hours. However my mind was blown when he told me that when he was younger he'd held for 24 hours. However he was keen to point out that it wasn't a healthy thing to do.

What impressed me about Senator Booker was his confidence that he could hold his pee for 25 hours, albeit after dehydrating himself. I assume he's in the habit of holding it through long sessions and meetings without difficulty. He's only fiftyish compared to the average age of US senators (70-80), and I can imagine he smiles at least inwardly during a long session when his counterparts must take one or more pee breaks while he can just hold it in.

I don't know what his holding record was, but rumour has it that John Bercow, who used to be Speaker of the House of Commons used to sit through long sittings of the House without taking a comfort break and handing over to a deputy.
