Drinking beer before sleeping

Have you experience what will happen when you drink a lot of let's say 4 pints of beer right before sleeping? Will you wake up after a few hours bursting to pee, will you wet the bed or will you sleep trough the night till morning?

I certainly won't sleep through the night without peeing after 4 pints. Not after only 2 pints either.

Wetting the bed has happened to me before on rare occasions in the past, but usually if I've drunk too much before going to bed I'll keep waking up bursting and having to go and pee.

I would wake up bursting to pee and dash for the toilet. I have read posts from guys who may drink considerable water before bedtime and wake up during the night needing an urgent pee, and they challenge themselves to try to hold it until morning. But beer pee is too large a volume and too insistent to hold!

I can’t find it anymore, but I remember reading a blog post by someone who was struggling with writer’s block, about a dream he had. He had drunk a beer or two before going to bed, then went on to dream he was urinating into the keyboard at his computer where he types! He woke up panicked before realizing that the part about the keyboard was just a dream (but not the part about needing to pee.) Interesting symbolism aside, he learned a lesson that day about consuming too many fluids before bedtime.

Thanks for all the answers.I think I have seen a post about a guy drinking beer before sleeping and holding it till morning somewhere too. But I couldn't find it anymore. Probably it was a forum which shit down in the last years.

Probably I try drinking a liter water before sleeping soon. It's healthier than beer and will have the same effect on the bladder.
